Kōz on MLK Way
A transit corridor-oriented impact development in a transitional neighborhood.
Kōz on North MLK Way is a 161-unit mixed-use multifamily housing development located along the T-Line light rail in the Hilltop neighborhood in Tacoma, WA. The site is within a Qualified Opportunity Zone, playing a large part in its redevelopment. It was acquired through a Development Agreement with the Tacoma Community Redevelopment Authority.
The project delivers studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, two commercial spaces, and on-site parking for 27 vehicles. One of the commercial spaces is occupied by Seattle Credit Union. Kōz on North MLK Way was originally capitalized through Sound Community Bank, Catalyst, and retail investors syndicated by Kōz Development. Permanent agency financing has since been placed on the asset.
Kōz on MLK Way is managed by Kōz Properties.
